Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt's Son Maddox Did Not Give A 'Flattering' Testimony About His Father In Custody Battle
Family drama! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s eldest son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, reportedly testified against his father in a custody battle.
"Maddox has already given testimony as [an] adult in the ongoing custody dispute and it wasn’t very flattering toward Brad," a source said. "He doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie. Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support."
Jolie reportedly filed court documents on Friday, March 12, accusing the 57-year-old of domestic violence. The papers state that she and the children are open to providing "proof and authority in support" of the allegations, OK! previously reported.
"Over the past four-and-a-half years, there have been a number of claims made by Angelina that have been reviewed and not substantiated. The children have been used by Angelina to hurt Brad before and this is more of that behavior. This leaking of documents by her fourth or fifth set of lawyers has been done to hurt Brad," a source said earlier this week of the filing.
INSIDE BRAD PITT AND ANGELINA JOLIE’S TUMULTUOUS RELATIONSHIP: A TIMELINE
Pitt was previously cleared of child abuse allegations by the Los Angeles Country Department of Children and Family Services in 2016.
"The case remained open out of an abundance of caution because the department took the matter seriously, and in the almost two years of monitored visitation, there was not one instance that caused any alarm bells to go off," an insider explained.
Maddox's relationship with his father has reportedly been rocky since 2016 following an incident on the family’s private plane where Pitt was allegedly "verbally abusive" and getting "physical." Jolie filed for divorce soon thereafter.
Their daughter Shiloh also reportedly removed "Pitt" as her last name on her secret Instagram account.

"This is a huge snub towards Brad and a sign he could be losing Shiloh to Angelina," a source said at the time. "Even though she surely meant no harm by it, [it's] a real kick in the teeth."
Pitt reportedly does not speak to 17-year-old Pax either.

The former couple’s divorce proceedings are still ongoing but they were declared legally single in 2019. They share six children together: Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, 16, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12.
Pitt is reportedly seeking 50/50 custody of the kids. However, the two are said to be "equally responsible for the never-ending drama," and "their children are collateral damage," a source previously spilled.

"Every holiday, every birthday, someone always leaks the same thing about Brad and his supposed plans to see the kids, like the pizza party for Shiloh's birthday this year — and it seems like there's never any truth to it."
Us Weekly was the first to report on Maddox's testimony.
