Anna Faris was positively bursting. On the July 21 episode of her weekly podcast, Unqualified, the perky Mom alum, 44, let it slip that she’d recently eloped with her cinematographer boyfriend, Michael Barrett.
“It feels great,” she gushed, adding that she was so thrilled she couldn’t keep the “awesome” news secret any longer.
“Anna’s over the moon because she was convinced she’d never find someone special after all the heartbreak she’s been through,” shares an insider. “Her path to true love hasn’t been smooth.”
Faris thought she’d found The One when she wed Chris Pratt in 2009, a year after calling it quits on her four-year marriage to actor Ben Indra. But she was left devastated when they parted ways in 2017 and the Guardians of the Galaxy hunk, 42 — with whom she shares son Jack, 8 — hooked up with Katherine Schwarzenegger before the divorce was even finalized.
“That really did a number on her,” dishes the insider. “She felt like she wasn’t good enough and blamed herself for the breakup.”

As OK! previously reported, Faris opened up about both relationships during an episode of her “Anna Faris Is Unqualified” podcast in May, revealing that she never discussed marital problems with anyone.
"Because I didn't have a close group of girlfriends I think it stunted me in a lot of ways," she explained to guest Rachel Bilson at the time. "One of them being that I never talked about any issues.”
However, things started to turn around after Faris met Barrett, 51, on the set of 2018’s Overboard. “He was able to lift her out of that dark place,” explains the insider, who says the actress also did a lot of soul-searching, which led to her decision to leave Mom last year.
“Now that she’s found her soulmate, Anna’s reprioritizing her life and putting her happiness first,” the insider adds. “Michael dotes on her, and he’s her biggest supporter. Anna’s never been in a better place!”
