'I Just Blurted That Out': Anna Faris Reveals She Married Michael Barrett In A Secret Courthouse Wedding
Anna Faris confirmed she is a married woman after Michael Barrett was spotted wearing a wedding band during dinner with the Scary Movie star.
However, the wedding announcement doesn't seem to be what the Mom alum had in mind.
"My husband shot a movie in Japan, and he speaks about this town that specialized in soba noodles," the 44-year-old told Top Chef judge Gail Simmons on her "Anna Faris is Unqualified" podcast on Wednesday, July 22. "He would love to live in Japan for a year. My dream would be Venice."
"I think we've spent the last year in a place of reflection, in a place of prioritization to some degree, a place of anxiety, a place of assessment," Faris said when a caller said she felt she was growing apart from friends after getting into a relationship. "But I'm looking around, so, my fiancé is right... he's now my husband."
Later in the interview, Faris circled back to address the elephant in the room. "Yes, we eloped... I'm sorry. I didn't know. I'm sorry, honey. I just blurted that out, but it just feels (like) I can't say fiancé anymore," she explained.
"It was awesome. It was great," she said of the big day. "It was at a local courthouse up in Washington state. It was great."
Faris explained that she let the news slip to her family in a similar fashion. She explained that her aunt asked how she felt about becoming a stepmother and said she was a "stepmom as of four days ago."
Faris and Barrett were first linked in 2017 and she confirmed that he popped the question in 2019. This is the Overboard star's third time saying "I Do."
She tied the knot with Chris Pratt — who she shares 8-year-old son Jack — in 2009 before the pair announced that they had called it quits in 2017. She was also married to Ben Indra from 2004 until 2008.
Pratt went on to tie the knot with Katherine Schwarzenegger.
