Ben Affleck may not be phased by the backlash he received for his previous comments about his marriage to Jennifer Garner, but he apparently can't stand claims that girlfriend Jennifer Lopez wears the pants in their relationship.
According to an insider, the Argo star will have none of people insinuating he's being controlled or emasculated by the Latin pop star.
"That would be his idea of hell," the source spilled to the print issue of UsWeekly. "He didn't come into this relationship with any intention of being like Alex Rodriguez and letting Jennifer call the shots in decisions they make as couple."
OK! reported the former MLB pro and Lopez began dating in 2017 and called it quits last April, with the Hustlers actress and Affleck rekindling their relationship shortly after.
The insider pointed out it's actually Affleck who is very vocal about the couple's plans for the future, as he's insisting on a larger-than-life wedding, despite Lopez's wishes for a more low-key event.

"He's very much of the opinion that they should go all out," a source previously spilled to the outlet of the headstrong actor's wishes for the A-list stars' big day. "He's the driving force here. He wants their wedding to be an elaborate statement of their love story."
And according to the source, "money is no object," as Affleck will continue to push until he gets the million-dollar wedding he wants.
Despite Affleck's apparent insistence of having his voice heard in the relationship, an OK! insider recently dished that the handsome hunk has changed some of his ways to match his brunette babe's.
The Last Duel actor, 49, "has been working out at the crack of dawn and has totally cleaned up his diet to match hers," the source explained. "Ben’s happy to do it, but it wouldn’t be happening if it weren’t for Jen."
In addition, when their busy schedules keep them apart, Affleck "has to FaceTime Jen every night before bed," said the source. "Their friends think it’s all a bit over the top, but Ben and Jen are so grateful to be getting this second chance. They’re not taking anything for granted!"
The rekindled flames first began dating in 2002 and got engaged shortly after. Affleck and Lopez called off their engagement in 2003 and broke up for good in 2004.
