The Clinton Foundation sparked a viral online roast after posting an internship listing that requires a "high level of professionalism and discretion," reminding internet commentators of former President Bill Clinton's infamous White House scandal with Monica Lewinsky.
The foundation, a nonprofit established by the former president in 2001 whose stated mission is “to strengthen the capacity of people around the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence,” posted two job listings.
One was for Hillary Clinton’s office, offering an unpaid internship in New York City requiring research, memos, scheduling and a "high level of professionalism and discretion.”

The other was a paid opportunity within Bill’s office, offering $50,000-$55,000 per year for a "special projects associate" position requiring a bachelor's degree and "discretion in scheduling.”
Social media users quickly turned the word "discretion" into a punchline, referencing the late 1990s scandal.
"Bill lost intern privileges,” posted one commenter.
“Just don't wear a blue dress to work," quipped another in reference to Monica's infamous navy blue dress.

"Depends on what the definition of internship is,” jabbed another in a play on the 80-year-old former president's famous grand jury testimony regarding the definition of the word "is.”
Conservative commentators like Michael Knowles and Steve Guest also joined the fray, joking that applicants should "say no" if asked to work on a "special project" for the former president.
