Bill Gates Jets Off To Rub Elbows With The Royals After Coming Face-To-Face With Ex Melinda At Daughter's Wedding: Photos
Meeting of the minds!
On Tuesday, October 19, Queen Elizabeth II — accompanied by Prince Charles and Prince William — hosted international business and investment leaders at Windsor Castle for a Global Investment Summit reception.
Some of the esteemed guests included Bill Gates and U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry.
It's been a busy week for the ex-Microsoft boss, as he had just reunited with his ex Melinda for the first time in public since their billion-dollar divorce. The exes gathered for their daughter Jennifer’s wedding to millionaire Nayel Nassar in a ceremony sources dubbed as “totally over-the-top” and cost the family in excess of “$2 million.”
Jennifer and her equestrian beau tied the knot at her 124-acre $16 million horse ranch in upstate New York on Saturday, October 16.
The Microsoft co-founder — who has an estimated net worth of $130 billion — announced he and Melinda were going their separate ways earlier this year. “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” the 65-year-old wrote in a joint statement posted on Twitter in May. “We no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives.”
Meanwhile, the Queen had to cancel an upcoming two-day trip to Northern Ireland that was set to take place on Wednesday, as doctors told her to slow it down a little, reported The Royal Observer.
She has “reluctantly accepted medical advice” to stay home to rest at Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace said in a statement, adding the 95-year-old will be resting “the next few days.”
