Blake Shelton Confesses That Being Married To Gwen Stefani Has Changed Him, Jokes 'I'm Getting Softer'
Blake Shelton is a changed man.
Since getting hitched to Gwen Stefani in July, the country singer believes that his new wifey has made his heart grow a couple of sizes.
Shelton joked to his costars on the The Voice that his marriage has made him “softer,” after he offered newbie coach Ariana Grande tissues ahead of what was expected to be an emotional battle round during the Monday, October 11, episode.
“I’ve been thinking about you,” the “God Gave Me You” singer said to Grande while handing her the tissues. “After this season you won’t ever need these again. You’ll get over it. You’ll become more callous like us three.”
“This is so sweet,” the 28-year-old responded. Kelly Clarkson chimed in saying, “That’s a nice gesture,” while John Legend was shocked over Shelton’s act of kindness. “Look at this guy. There is a heart in there,” the R&B singer quipped.
“Look, I’m married now,” Shelton fired back. “I’m soft. I’m getting softer.”
Shelton tied the knot with Stefani back in July after the pair previously met while working together as coaches on the hit NBC show.

Their wedding took place at the country music mogul’s Oklahoma ranch, where Shelton reportedly “built a chapel.”
The ceremony — which was officiated by The Voice host Carson Daly — was an intimate gathering with major southern influences. Stefani even paired her Vera Wang gown with a pair of cowboy boots in keeping with the theme.
It wasn’t the first time the “Hollaback Girl” singer walked down the aisle. She was married to Gavin Rossdale for 13 years before filing for divorce in 2015. The former couple share three children together: Kingston, 15, Zuma,13, and Apollo, 7.
Shelton was also married twice before, including to country queen Miranda Lambert for four years.
As OK! previously reported, both Shelton and Stefani insisted on getting a prenuptial agreement due to both of their bad experiences with divorces.
“Gwen is worth $150 million while Blake is worth around $100 million. Both have been married before and both have experienced very ugly divorces,” a source revealed at the time. “Which explains why this time they both wanted to have a prenup.”
“Some people might think this is unromantic but both Gwen and Blake think it is sensible,” added the source.
