Brad Pitt Is 'Heartbroken' Over Angelina Jolie Abuse Allegations, Feels 'Isolated' From His Children: Report
Actor Brad Pitt is reportedly "heartbroken" that ex-wife Angelina Jolie plans to testify about alleged spousal abuse as the two battle it out for custody of their six children.
On March 12, Jolie filed documents, leaked to The Blast, claiming that she and the children are willing to testify and provide "proof and authority in support" of the allegations.
"There’s a lot of emotion left after their marriage," a source close to Pitt said, adding that the actor was saddened to learn "Angelina has gone that route" by claiming spousal abuse. "He has taken responsibility for his actions and owned up to his past issues, he’s stopped drinking.
"The marriage was very passionate and toxic at times and — like all couples — they had fights, but also shared many good times together," the pal explained. "He has talked about his drink and drug problems during the time they were together.
"Brad and his camp has never attacked Angelina. But his camp feels this leak was calculated to sway opinion ahead of the conclusion of their trial," the source added. "Brad feels like he’s being more and more isolated from his children, and he’s devastated about it."

Pitt was cleared of child abuse allegations by the Los Angeles Country Department of Children and Family Services in 2016. This followed an alleged incident on the family’s private jet with their eldest son, Maddox. During the flight, it was reported that Pitt got "verbally abusive" and "physical."
Shortly following the incident, Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 — just two years after they tied the knot in 2014. However, the investigation concluded that there was "not inappropriate physical contact" between Pitt and Maddox.
Pitt is looking for 50/50 joint physical and legal custody of the children. OK! previously reported that Maddox gave testimony in the ongoing dispute that "wasn't very flattering toward Brad" — however, Page Six sources, who first reported that Pitt is "heartbroken," don't necessarily believe those reports to be true.
The pair was declared legally single in 2019. They share children Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12. Jolie previously filed to remove Judge John W. Ouderkirk from the case, due to an alleged "undisclosed" relationship with Pitt and his camp, which was denied.
