'Bridgerton' Star Regé-Jean Page Smolders In Alexander McQueen During 'SNL' Opening Monologue
Fans of the hit series Bridgerton swooned when Regé-Jean Page hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
Proving he can be funny and fashionable his opening monologue, the breakout star of Netflix's steamy period drama performed his opening monologue in a dashing Alexander McQueen ensemble that Lady Whistledown would certainly approve of. The slick, modern look included an impeccably tailored single breasted, black wool suit jacket with peak lapels and jeweled broach, teamed with slim black wool trousers and classic white tee.

Poking fun at himself, Page's opening monologue played on "the misconception" that he's just like his sexy Bridgerton character Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings. Despite insisting he's just a normal, nerdy guy, he keeps seductively staring deep into the camera with saxophone music playing in the background.
Cast members Aidy Bryant and Ego Nwodim then joined him onstage, fawning over his every move. Chloe Fineman also crashed through stage right in a costume looking very much like Daphne Bridgerton, Page’s lover on the show.
The momolouge also featured Page serenading the crowd with a rendition of “Unchained Melody” by The Righteous Brothers and dropping the Duke’s most famous line, “I burn for you,” invoking screams from the audience.
Ok! previously interviewed Page where he opened up about his sex symbol character.
"He is a tall, dark, mysterious, brooding kind of a Duke," he said. "He's very much the archetype of your surly anti-hero and romantic figure of desire. But he's thoroughly complex and thoroughly wounded, and desperately needs fixing. He's a beautifully mixed bag of things for me to play with.
