Setting the record straight: She just inked a bombshell deal to pen a memoir, but an insider tells OK! Britney Spears wants to release more than just a book.
"She was dismayed by some of the recent documentaries about her, which she said contained a lot of stuff that wasn’t true," dishes the insider, who says the pop icon, 40, has been hard at work putting together her own TV tell-all.
"Britney’s going to talk about everything from her struggles with fame to her romance with Justin Timberlake and finding true love with Sam Asghari," spills the insider of her ex and fiancé, respectively. "For now, it’s being done on a fairly amateur level with an iPhone and a basic video camera, but Sam’s encouraging her to bring a team of pros on board and step it up a level."
Spears, the insider adds, "is really into it because she finds it cathartic to unload her feelings in front of a camera while compiling anecdotes for her memoir. She’s got so much to say!"

The blonde babe certainly has a lot of dirty laundry to air out after her near-14-year conservatorship was terminated in November 2021, two months after her estranged dad, Jamie Spears, was suspended from being the conservator of her estate, which is estimated to be worth $60 million.
And while Spears seemingly had no voice while in the legal binding, documentaries Framing Britney Spears and Controlling Britney Spears, as well as Netflix's Britney vs. Spears, have been released to aid the public's #FreeBritney interest. Considering the songstress didn't take part in any of the projects, it makes sense she wants her story to be told in her own way.
What's more, her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, already divulged details of their childhood in her own memoir, Things I Should Have Said, which included some jaw-dropping allegations about her older sister.

Following her shocking tell-all — which caused a very public sisterly feud, with Spears accusing the Zoey 101 alum of "lying through her teeth" — the pop star decided to take matters into her own hands.
OK! reported earlier this year that Spears signed $15 million book deal with Simon & Schuster that will dive into her career, chaotic Hollywood life and the drama within her family.
