Wedding days are special — and it's safe to say that the bride and groom want to look their best. With so many guests, relatives and cameras around, you might find yourself spending a lot of time looking in the mirror.
Celebrities are no different! A-listers like Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Lopez have taken their health and fitness goals to the next level in anticipation of the big day (yes, OK! sources spilled that J.Lo is still planning to walk down the aisle despite a recent rough patch in her relationship with Alex Rodriguez).
If you or someone you know is getting ready to tie the knot, here are some tricks from celebrities to make sure you're in tip-top shape.
Shailene Woodley
"I'm very routine-oriented," the Big Little Lies actress and future Mrs. Aaron Rodgers has said. She practices yoga regularly ("I'm really into low-impact fitness. It just feels better for my body," she revealed) and generally eats oatmeal for breakfast followed by "a combination of veggies, carbs and protein" for lunch and dinner. "I'm very conscious of what I choose," Woodley, 29, noted. "But I try not to take things too seriously. It's very easy to feel guilty about your choices, and if it brings stress, then bye-bye." Preach!
Heather Rae Young
The reality star (and former Pilates instructor) is passionate about healthy living. "I never look at it like, ugh, I have to work out today," shared Young, 33, who sticks to a mostly vegan diet. The Selling Sunset realtor — who's set to wed Flip or Flop's Tarek El Moussa — breaks a sweat seven days a week, alternating between strength training, HIIT classes and 3-4 mile runs. "Fitness," Young said, "makes me so happy."
Jasmine Tookes
The Victoria's Secret model knows a thing or two about getting her body ready for big events. To prep for the runway, the 30-year-old bride-to-be (she's engaged to Snapchat exec Juan David Borrero) bans booze and ups her protein intake "to build these muscles and stay strong," she explained. She also swears by Pilates and strength training. "I'm horrible at cardio," she confessed. "I feel like it doesn't do anything for my body."

Gwen Stefani
There's no doubt the singer will be in top form when she says 'I do' to country crooner Blake Shelton. After all, at 51, Stefani is still rocking the same washboard abs she had in the '90s! Her secret weapon? Consistency. "I have no magic thing that I do to stay fit," revealed the mom-of-three. She relies on a mostly plant-based diet and simple-yet-effective exercises like squats and lunges. Added Stefani, "l just prefer old-school fitness workouts."
Sarah Hyland
She had to postpone her nuptials to Bachelor Nation's Wells Adams, but the Modern Family alum hasn't put off her plans to get fit before tying the knot. In a January 2020 IG post, the 30-year-old star shared a grueling workout video from the Dogpound gym in L.A., in which she does reverse split squats with a barbell, kettlebell rows on a bench and hip raises. "The end goal," she wrote, "is wedding body ready."
Jennifer Lopez
The triple threat has a take-no-prisoners approach to fitness. "[I'm like] a fighter going into the ring," she's said. In typical J.Lo fashion, she's staying focused as she gears up for her wedding to Alex Rodriguez — yes, OK! sources said things are still "full speed ahead" despite their recent hiccup — with a clean diet (think: protein shakes, kale and salmon salads and seafood with brown rice) and dance cardio and strength training sessions. "Sometimes when | get home, and I'm not feeling so great, I make myself go to the gym," the star. 51, said. "[Then] I feel pepped up and great about myself."
