Convicted Family Killer Chris Watts Caught Having 'Steamy Make-Out Session' With New Partner During Prison Visit, Eyewitness Claims

Convicted family killer Chris Watts is reportedly planning a prison wedding with his new girlfriend, Lizzie Henderson, following a string of highly physical and "s-----" visitation sessions.

An exclusive report published by Daily Mail revealed that the 41-year-old inmate — who is serving multiple consecutive life sentences without parole for the 2018 murders of his pregnant wife, Shanann, and their two young daughters, Bella and Celeste — has been involved in a serious relationship from behind bars.

Henderson is a 39-year-old former realtor who uprooted her life and relocated from Ohio to Wisconsin to live closer to Watts.

According to family members, the couple has officially submitted an application to get married within the prison system.

Henderson has already begun using the name "Lizzie Watts" and has filed a confidential court petition to change her last name legally. She has also been photographed wearing wedding bands on her ring finger.

Prison logs show that Henderson has visited Watts at the maximum-security Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin, at least 20 times, even spending Christmas Day with him.

Sources reported that the couple's visits have become intensely physical. An eyewitness claimed to have watched the pair engaging in a "s----- make-out session" in the visiting room, notably occurring just one day after the seventh anniversary of his family's murders.

Henderson has reportedly acknowledged that outsiders will find the relationship "weird," but her relatives state she is fully committed to the incarcerated killer.

Watts, whose gruesome crime was documented in the 2020 Netflix film American Murder: The Family Next Door, was convicted of the brutal August 13, 2018, murders of his pregnant wife and two young daughters in Frederick, Colorado. The high-profile investigation exposed severe domestic unrest beneath the surface of a seemingly perfect family, leading to a rapid confession and multiple life sentences.

On the morning of August 13, 2018, shortly after Shanann returned from a business trip, Watts strangled her to death in their primary bedroom. He then loaded her body, along with his two living daughters, into his work truck. He drove them to an isolated oil-storage site owned by his employer, Anadarko Petroleum. There, he smothered both girls with a blanket.

Watts buried Shanann in a shallow grave and forced the bodies of his daughters through the narrow 8-inch openings of two separate crude-oil tanks to conceal the bodies and mask the scent.

Later that day, Shanann's close friend called the police after she missed a doctor's appointment and failed to answer her door. Police performed a welfare check and found Shanann's keys, phone, and purse still inside the house.

Before his arrest, Watts gave televised media interviews on his front porch, pleading for the safe return of his family. Investigators noted his flat affect and suspicious behavior.

Investigators quickly uncovered that Watts was having an active affair with a coworker, Nichol Kessinger.

Kessinger, who believed Watts was already separated and finalizing a divorce, cooperated heavily with law enforcement. Watts' motive was to escape his marriage and financial obligations and start a fresh life with his mistress.

On August 15, 2018, Watts failed a polygraph test. When confronted, he initially tried to frame Shanann, claiming he strangled her in a "fit of rage" after witnessing her smothering the girls. He eventually confessed to all three murders.

To avoid the death penalty — and at the explicit request of Shanann's family — Watts agreed to a plea deal.

On November 6, 2018, he pleaded guilty to nine counts, including first-degree murder, unlawful termination of a pregnancy, and tampering with deceased human bodies.

On November 19, 2018, Watts was sentenced to five consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 84 years for the associated charges.
