Where Is Convicted Killer Chris Watts Now? Inside His Life Behind Bars as He Allegedly Prepares to Remarry After Murdering His Wife and Kids

Chris Watts was convicted of murdering his pregnant wife, Shanann, and their two children, Bella and Celeste, in 2018.

Though Watts won't be getting out of prison anytime soon, it hasn't stopped him from moving on in his life, including with a new bride.

Watts is currently serving multiple life sentences at the Dodge Correctional Institution, a maximum-security prison in Waupun, Wis. The convict reportedly spends his time exercising and working as a custodian, according to People.

Watts is believed to keep to himself, having reportedly been "ostracized" by both guards and fellow inmates when he celebrated his 36th birthday behind bars in May 2021.

"No one wants anything to do with him," a source told the outlet at the time. "He's on the lowest social tier of the entire prison. He’s in protective custody because if he’s around other inmates, he’d be in real danger. He’s an outcast, even among criminals."

Despite being unpopular while incarcerated, Watts has been known to receive countless love letters from women across the nation since his conviction.

"In my heart, you are a great guy," one woman's letter read, while a second admirer wrote, "I'm hoping to brighten your days," per ABC News.

The triple murderer was also known to actively receive and respond to "s--- photos."

"There are a lot of women who think he’s handsome and misunderstood. They send a lot of letters. He's got nothing else to do. So he feeds his ego in that way," an insider told People in November 2022. "The only outlet he has is with these letters."

Watts has seemingly found love again with Lizzie Henderson, a 39-year-old former realtor from the Cleveland, Ohio, area.

Multiple outlets reported on August 12 that Watts applied to marry Henderson after meeting her while behind bars. She kickstarted the process by filing an application to change her name to "Lizzie Watts," according to court records obtained by People.

The outlet claimed that the realtor moved from Ohio to Wisconsin to be closer to her future husband, whom she frequently visits.

Watts pleaded guilty in November 2018 to killing his pregnant wife and smothering their two young daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, at their Colorado home on August 13, 2018.

Watts initially did several televised interviews where he pleaded for his family's safe return before eventually confessing to their murders.

Bella and Celeste's bodies were found in oil tanks where Watts worked, while his wife's body was buried in a shallow grave nearby, per The New York Times.

Watts pleaded guilty to the murders in November 2018 to avoid the death penalty and is currently serving five consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
