Low-Key Love: Dave McCary Proposed To Baby Mama Emma Stone In The 'SNL' Office Where They Met
Forget a fancy dinner or a big extravagant engagement! Emma Stone’s husband proposed to her in the office they met in on the set of Saturday Night Live.
"No one was there and by all accounts, it was very romantic," an insider said about their intimate engagement. As the La La Land actress is notoriously private, a low-key proposal sounds perfect for her.

Stone met SNL segment producer Dave McCary in December 2016 when she hosted the show, and he directed a skit called "Wells for Boys," featuring the actress. However, the couple kept their relationship private until they stepped out at the SAG Awards in January 2019.
McCary announced on Instagram that he had popped the question in December of the same year.
There had been speculation about the pair before they went public, as they were spotted leaving McCary’s Brigsby Bear premiere in 2017, but Stone was seen catching up with ex Andrew Garfield one year later, which left fans confused.

Stone and McCary initially wanted to tie the knot in March 2020 but postponed the wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic. They instead had a quiet ceremony in September.
The Easy A alum was recently seen with her baby bump, which was the official confirmation that the couple is expecting their first child together.
Even though Stone seems to have gotten her fairy-tale ending, it wasn’t something she wanted when she was younger.
"My perspective about kids has changed as I’ve gotten older. I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, I’m never getting married, I’m never having kids. And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids," she told Jennifer Lawrence during a 2018 interview with Elle magazine.
Page Six was the first to report the news about how McCary popped the question.
