Dina Lohan Pleads Guilty To Driving Under The Influence & Leaving The Scene Of The Accident
More than a year after her initial arrest, Dina Lohan has pleaded guilty to drunk driving after she smashed her vehicle into another car near a Long Island mall.
According to the Associated Press, the mother of Lindsay Lohan entered her guilty plea on Tuesday, September 28, and is now expected to to be sentenced to 18 days in jail and five years’ probation. Her upcoming sentencing is slated for December 3.
The accident occurred on Jan. 11, 2020, when Lohan rear-ended another car near the Merrick Mall in Merrick, New York, according to the police. After she left the scene of the collision without leaving her information, the driver of the damaged car followed the 52-year-old home and called the authorities.
According to Nassau County prosecutors, Lohan was driving with a suspended license when the accident occurred.
Court documents revealed the television personality was found by a cop who responded to the incident and reported that she was in the driver’s seat of her Mercedes, glassy-eyed and smelling of alcohol.

This is not the first time Lohan has had a drinking and driving situation. In 2014, the Hollywood mom was convicted of aggravated drunken driving after being caught racing nearly 20 miles over the speed limit. After taking a breathalyzer test, it was reportedly discovered that her blood alcohol level was twice over the legal limit.
As OK! previously reported, earlier this year, Lohan reflected on the hardest years of her famous daughter's life.
“It was crazy, they were targeting in on that particular group — the Britneys [Spears], the Paris [Hiltons], the Lindsays, the Ashlee Simpsons — it was a group [resembling a] young up-and-coming brat pack that they were channeling, so it was horrifying," the former Rockette said during an appearance on RealiTea With Derek Z. "It just got way out of hand."
