Ellen DeGeneres Selling Off Spare $13.9 Million Montecito Home — Tour The Extra Property That The Talk Show Host & Wife Portia de Rossi Purchased : Photos
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are pawning off one of their multi million dollar homes.
The talk show host, 64, and the Arrested Development actress, 49, are selling their $13.9 million Montecito, California property — that they only acquired in September of 2021.
According to Dirt, the Hollywood power couple paid $12 million for the estate — that they spruced up with their chic, laidback style — in an off-market deal.
The home — built in 2018 — is a single-story residence that boasts three bedrooms and four bathrooms within just over 4,700 square feet of living space along with a detached studio building that could be a guest suite, gym or WFH office.
The residence also comes equipped with safety measures built in as the property is located within a discreet and privately gated community — that celebs like Oprah Winfrey (who lives right next door) also call home.
According to the listing, the property comes complete with floor-to-ceiling pocket doors blur the line between indoor and outdoor living. The master bedroom has dual walk-in closets and dual showers, one a traditional glass-walled affair and the other an outdoor unit, set into a privately walled section of the yard.
This is certainly not the first home that DeGeneres and de Rossi have snapped up and made changes to. The couple has reportedly flipped more than 15 homes in the Montecito area.
The stars also own a $2.9 million cottage elsewhere in Montecito and an $8.5 million mid century modern L.A. “crash pad” in Beverly Hills.
