Free Britney: Miley Cyrus Passionately Voices Support For Princess Of Pop During Fourth Of July Vegas Concert
The legal battle over Britney Spears' conservatorship rages on, but following the "Baby, One More Time" singer's emotional court testimony in late June, other celebrities are speaking out about the unfairness and abuse that Spears has endured over the course of her conservatorship.
Headlining a concert at the July 4 grand opening celebration of the brand new Resorts World Las Vegas, Miley Cyrus was far from quiet about voicing her opinion on the controversial court case.
During her performance of her hit classic "Party In The USA", Cyrus sang and danced along to the catchy tune, while prompting the start of a loud and passionate chant to the beat, shouting "Free Britney!".
"Party In The USA" was first released in August of 2011. The joyful song about shaking off nerves and embracing a new opportunity in a new place features the lyrics "That's when the taxi man turned on the radio, And a Jay-Z song was on".
Cyrus switched up the lyrics, pausing to speak instead of sing, saying "and the taxi man turned on the radio, and he turned to me and said 'Free Britney'!" To the roars and cheers of approval from the crowd in the packed audience.
The former Hannah Montana star continued on into the chorus, but later in the song, she restarted the chant. "Yeah, Jay-Z, so honestly f— Jay-Z, FREE BRITNEY! ... free, free, free, free Britney!" screamed the "Wrecking Ball" singer.

Cyrus seemed more than happy to figuratively step aside in a powerful moment that put Spears and the injustice that she has endured in the spotlight.
"We love Jay-Z but we got to free this b—h," Cyrus went on, clad in a flashy American flag themed outfit and rocking a stylish, edgy mullet. "Trips me the f— out."
As previously reported by OK!, Spears apologized to fans in late June for "pretending" that she has been happy on social media, stating "I did it because of my pride and I was embarrassed to share what happened to me … but honestly who doesn’t want to capture their Instagram in a fun light 💡🤷🏼♀️ !!!!"
The court recently denied Spears' request to remove her father from the conservatorship, and as of now, Jamie Spears remain co-conservator.
