Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Reportedly Signed Ironclad Prenup After Experiencing 'Very Ugly Divorces'
It may have been all rainbows and butterflies on July 3, when Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton officially tied the knot — but before the two made things official, they reportedly signed an ironclad prenuptial agreement in the event that their fairytale romance ends in disaster.
“Gwen is worth around $150 million while Blake is worth around $100 million. Both have been married before and both have experienced very ugly divorces,” a source told Radar, "which explains why this time they both wanted to have a prenup."
“Some people might think this is unromantic but both Gwen and Blake think it is sensible,” the insider continued.
As the source noted, things didn’t work out the first time around — for both of them. Stefani and Shelton met and started dating in 2014, when each of them were going through their own divorce drama. Stefani, 51, was splitting from Gavin Rossdale, while Shelton, 45, was in the midst of breaking up with country queen Miranda Lambert.
However, it looks as though this one may stick. As OK! previously reported, The Voice power couple has been on cloud nine in the days leading up to — and following — their holiday weekend wedding.
The pair made things official at the country crooner’s Oklahoma ranch, where Shelton reportedly “built a chapel”.

The Voice host Carson Daly officiated Stefani and Shelton’s intimate ceremony, but he was one of the only people from the popular singing competition in attendance, with Adam Levine notably absent.
Still, all hope is not lost for another (much bigger!) celebration. A source previously dished to OK!, “Maybe sometime next year they will throw a party in L.A. when it is safe, for all the celebrities and Hollywood friends.”
Almost certain to be off the guest list, though, is Stefani’s baby daddy Rossdale. Another source spilled to OK! that the father of Stefani’s sons, Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 7, is ready to have a man-to-man convo with their new stepdad, now that Shelton is officially part of the fam.
“He’s gotten ticked off at Blake in the past for seemingly overstepping his bounds, and is ready to make it clear he has final authority with the boys,” the insider revealed.
Let’s just hope he doesn’t get in the way of Stefani’s new marriage — but if he does, at least the prenup is apparently in place!
