Hailey Bieber Shows Support For Justin Bieber's Ex Selena Gomez As Singer Graces The Cover Of Elle Magazine
When it comes to Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez, the model is making it clear — once again — that it's all good between the two.
The official Instagram account for Elle magazine shared a series of photos of the "Wolves" singer gracing the cover of the publication’s Latinx issue. One post shared by the outlet featured Gomez’s cover photo, with the 29-year-old sporting a platinum blonde ‘do, fishnet stockings and a bold red lip as she posed on a bed with silk sheets.
The post garnered more than 202,600 likes – with Hailey, 24, being one of the many to admire the stunning shots.
This isn’t the first time Hailey has shown her support for husband Justin Bieber's former significant other, who dated the "Peaches" singer on and off from 2010 to 2018. The former Drop the Mic star previously liked a post shared by Vogue featuring Gomez's March 2021 cover.
Hailey also liked a photo posted by Gomez’s makeup artist of the Disney alum ahead of her 2019 American Music Awards performance.
Though many would believe that there would be some tension between Gomez and Hailey, both women have done their best to shut down that narrative.
In 2019, speculation ramped up that Hailey had responded to Gomez’s “Lose You To Love Me” — believed to have been inspired by her tumultuous relationship with Justin — by sharing a screenshot of a song titled “I’ll Kill You” to her Instagram Story.
However, Hailey shot down those claims, writing on Instagram, "please stop with this nonsense ... there is no 'response'. this is complete BS."
Meanwhile, though she didn't mention Hailey by name, Gomez encouraged her fans not to bully anyone on her behalf.
“I am grateful for the response that the song is getting. I’m so grateful,” the Only Murders In The Building star said during an Instagram Live at the time. “However, I do not stand for women tearing women down. And I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter what the situation is. If you’re my fans, don’t be rude to anybody, please.”
Though Gomez's album Rare had many speculating that two singles — "Lose You To Love Me" and "Look At Her Now" — were aimed at ex Justin, she told Rolling Stone in an interview published last September that she's eager to move on from that chapter of her life.
"I wanted people to take away that this was a journey and that it was completely closed," she told the outlet at the time. "I don’t want people to see me as just sad and hurt. I didn’t want that anymore. I wanted people to know that I experienced something real, and that part of me is over."
