Halsey celebrated their birthday this year with a gift for her followers. The 27-year-old singer shared a sweet snap via Instagram of their baby boy, Ender Ridley, revealing the little one’s face for the first time.
“The best birthday gift there is 🚀,” they captioned a couple snaps of the newborn sporting a multicolored onesie and an adorable blue beanie. Ender sweetly smiles in the first snap before shyly looking away in the second.
Her famous pals and followers gushed over the little boy. “That baby stole ur face omg,” one user wrote, while another commented: “So beautiful 😻.”
The “Eastside” songstress and boyfriend Alev Aydin welcomed their first child together on Wednesday July, 14. Halsey — real name Ashley Nicolette Frangipane — announced the exciting news on Instagram a week later.
Halsey — who prefers to go by “she/they” pronouns— shared two adorable black-and-white photos of the family-of-three on Monday, July 18, with the first featuring the new mom holding Ender while lovingly looking at her main squeeze.
The New Jersey native recently opened up about the pressures of getting pregnant and maintaining a career at the same time.
“I'm 26, and I tried very hard for this pregnancy and it was like, I'm financially independent, I'm pretty far along in my career, it feels like the right time for me to do it,” the mother-of-one told Apple Music host Zane Lowe on Friday, August 27.
Despite their pregnancy being planned, Halsey said others seemed to criticize their decision because of their age and status as a superstar in an industry that is fickle. “I got treated like a teen mom a lot of the times, you know what I mean? Where people were like, 'Oh my God, you're so young, and you have so much to do in your career, and you're not married and you're this,’” they declared.
Critics' vocal opinions about their choice to start a family triggered “feelings of shame,” the “Bad at Love” crooner confessed.
