The Scream 4 alum discussed her personal issues and her memoir, This Is Me, in a May interview with Jay Shetty on his podcast "On Purpose."

Hayden Panettiere spoke with Jay Shetty on his podcast just three months before her passing.

“I finally feel like I have shaken off all of this darkness and this negativity,” Panettiere confessed.

“I’ve closed one door and another door is opened,” the Heroes star continued. “I feel like I have a lot more life to live.”

Hayden Panettiere suffered from a suspected 'overdose' and 'cardiac arrest.'

She then briefly touched upon the "exciting possibilities” she has planned ahead.

Panettiere died over the weekend at the age of 36 at her South Carolina residence, with medics responding to a call for an “unresponsive female” who was suffering from a suspected “overdose” and “cardiac arrest," according to 911 audio.

Emergency paramedics tried to resuscitate the Nashville actress with “advanced cardiac life support,” but were unsuccessful.

Hayden Panettiere died just five days before her 37th birthday.

An autopsy is set to be completed on Monday, August 17, and her exact cause of death is still unknown at this time.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen," Panettiere's rep said in a statement.

The starlet was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:32 p.m., and she would have turned 37 on August 21.

No 'signs of foul play' have been determined in Hayden Panettiere's death.

“Upon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene,” a Greenville police spokesperson told NBC News.

“The case is under investigation by the Greenville Police Department in conjunction with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. An acquaintance of Ms. Panettiere placed the 911 call,” they added.

Panettiere had flown out of Los Angeles with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Brian Hickerson on Saturday.

Hayden Panettiere also discussed her mother managing her career in her talk with Jay Shetty.

Elsewhere in her candid talk with Shetty, the Ice Princess actress discussed growing up as a child star under the bright lights of Hollywood and how it changed her relationship with her parents.

She noted she saw her mom, Lesley Vogel, as her "boss" and “everything was business," also adding her mother told her the corporation built around her acting career paid for the family's expenses.

“At the same time I was working hard, making money, and this money was going towards things that I wasn’t privy to,” Panettiere said, adding the arrangement made her “incredibly uncomfortable.”
