Hayden Panettiere, 32, is reportedly "okay" after being involved in a shocking bar brawl outside the Sunset Marquis hotel on Thursday night, March 24.
A witness claimed the squabble between the Heroes star, her ex Brian Hickerson, 32, and several other patrons was started inside of the bar, and escalated after both parties were thrown out by the manager for causing a disturbance. Now, Panettiere's rep is setting the record straight on the unsettling altercation.
"While in the restaurant of the Sunset Marquis, Brian Hickerson, who happened to be with Hayden, made a comment to an individual about leaving the waitress a poor tip," the Remember the Titans actress' rep explained in a statement to People.
"That same individual, along with the group he was with, began badgering and shoving Brian, at which point security pushed everyone outside," they continued. "Brian was attacked by the group, as was Hayden, who in her best effort tried to diffuse the situation."
The rep went on to say that Panettiere was "refused the opportunity to provide a statement" on the fight to authorities at the time, and that she was later escorted back into the hotel. "She is okay," added the rep.

Video footage of the altercation showed the Nashville lead desperately attempting to hold Hickerson back from physically fighting the other patrons while shouting, "Brian, jail!" — Hickerson is on probation until 2025 — after he failed to heed the warnings of security.
This is far from the first time that the 32-year-old actress has been in a dangerous situation while around her ex. Hickerson was previously ordered to serve 45 days behind bars at Men's Central Jail in Downtown Los Angeles last year after being arrested for committing acts of domestic violence and assault on Panettiere.
Despite their many ups and downs in their turbulent relationship, the Bring It On: All or Nothing star reportedly sees no issue in continuing to spend time with him as she helps him through his recovery.
"Hayden swears she's not getting back together with Bryan and is just trying to support him now that he’s on probation and getting counseling,” a source previously spilled to OK!. “But it’s very alarming.”
“They’re afraid history is going to repeat itself,” the source continued. “But Brian’s got this hold on Hayden, and there’s no talking sense into her. She just can’t seem to quit him.”
