'You Can't Say I Didn't Try': Heidi Klum Says She Renewed Vows With Ex-Husband Seal Every Year Of Their Marriage
Following their split in 2012, Heidi Klum is reflecting on her marriage to Seal and said they renewed their vows each year of their marriage.
"I think I got married eight times to Seal," the 48-year-old told The Sunday Times. "I thought it would be kind of, like, fun. I thought it would be a fest of love. But you know, that doesn’t work either. I tried, you can’t say I didn’t try!"
However, she eventually lost faith in the ceremonies. "Like, 'This is really not working.' But I tried," the model admitted.
The 58-year-old singer previously addressed the ceremonies and admitted to Andy Cohen in 2015 that it "was my ex-wife’s idea, to be honest." and he "disliked" them. "It kind of turned into a little bit of a circus, which I wasn’t terribly fond of because, by default, I’m quite a private person," Seal explained.
The former couple called it quits after seven years. They co-parent their three children, Henry, 15, Johan, 14, and Lou, 11, together as well as Klum's daughter Leni, 17, whom she shares with Flavio Briatore.
"It could be easier sometimes, but everyone is healthy and that’s the most important thing," Klum admitted to the Times. "Everything else can be figured out."
Last year Klum reportedly accused her ex of prohibiting her from taking the kids to film Germany's Next Top Model and to see her parents in Germany. They eventually reached an agreement for them to travel with her but Seal had said he was concerned amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The "Kiss From a Rose" singer previously admitted that co-parenting can be "challenging," largely due to the estranged couple often being in different locations.
"It requires teamwork," he told Us Weekly. "If you are a team, if both parents are a team, then it’s really easy and that’s not a real challenge at all. But you have to be a team. And if you’re not a team, then it can all fall to pieces."
Seal also admitted that he "never had that teamwork with [Klum]."
Klum has since wed Tokio Hotel member Tom Kaulitz.
"Sometimes it’s just talking things out, you know? I never really had that before. Before I always had to make all the decisions, do all the planning for everyone," she gushed about her new husband. "I didn’t know that it could be like this. I’m just finding all these things out."
"My 40s have been good. My 50s are going to be even better. I need to keep sucking my husband’s blood," the Germany’s Next Top Model host joked of the 31-year-old, whom she wed in 2019.
