The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Pedro Guadarrama Loza, a man from Mexico who was allegedly found with 126 kilograms of methamphetamine after entering the country illegally.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Monday, August 17, that authorities apprehended Loza, 38, who was also previously convicted of felony drug trafficking.
Pedro Guadarrama Loza Has Prior Drug Trafficking Convictions

Approximately 275 pounds of powder were seized by authorities recently.
“This criminal illegal alien from Mexico was arrested with 126 kilograms of methamphetamine, has prior convictions for drug trafficking, and has already been deported from our country TWICE,” a DHS spokesperson said in a statement.
“Thanks to the hard work of the brave men and women of HSI, this drug trafficker is off our streets and will soon be removed from our country. He will no longer be able to peddle his poison on American streets and endanger American lives," they continued.
Pedro Guadarrama Loza Was Deported to Mexico in 2017

A shipment was allegedly sent from Mexico to a Gainesville home.
Loza hails from Mexico, and had a prior arrest for driving without a valid driver’s license in Georgia.
Police arrested him on August 13 after HSI Atlanta performed what DHS called a "controlled delivery" that saw Loza receive several packages, the department also noted.
Federal agents then confiscated five boxes holding about 275 pounds of powder that was reportedly mixed with methamphetamine after the shipment was sent from Mexico to a Gainesville home.

Undercover agents delivered the boxes to the Georgia residence before raiding the home.
On August 12, undercover agents delivered the boxes to a home in Gainesville and they raided the residence shortly after.
Loza was then arrested after he allegedly attempted to make a quick escape out the back door.
Investigators noted Loza was previously convicted of narcotics trafficking in DeKalb County back in 2014. He also served a prison sentence and was deported to Mexico in 2017, but returned to the U.S. illegally at some point after the incident.
Pedro Guadarrama Loza Now 'Faces Serious Charges in Federal Court'

According to the DHS, Loza illegally entered the United States through Texas in 2004. Loza is currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service and recently appeared in court on charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and illegal reentry.
"Due to the skilled coordination of our law enforcement partners, a load of deadly drugs concealed in industrial powder was seized, and Loza now faces serious charges in federal court," U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg said in a statement.
