Jenna Bush Hager Goes Makeup-Free as She Spends Sweet Summer Moment With Her Twin Sister Barbara and Mom Laura: Photo

Jenna Bush Hager is making the most of the last stretch of summer with two very special people by her side.

The Today co-host, 44, recently gave her followers a peek at a family getaway with her mother, former First Lady Laura Bush, and twin sister, Barbara Bush. The cozy snapshots offered a rare glimpse at the Bush women enjoying some quality time together away from the spotlight.

One standout photo featured three generations of the Bush family posing together during their summer escape. Jenna kept things casual and appeared to go makeup-free for the relaxed family moment, while Barbara and Laura stood alongside her.

The sweet photos were part of an Instagram carousel Jenna shared on Sunday, August 23. She paired the post with a lyric from Taylor Swift's "August": “I can see us lost in the memory, August slipped away into a moment in time.”

She then added a sweet pic of her and her husband, Henry Chase Hager, along the shore.

The family post comes just days after Jenna shared her thoughts on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's reported plans to spend more time in the United Kingdom following years of tension with the royal family.

During the Thursday, August 20, episode of TODAY With Jenna and Sheinelle, the morning show host discussed the couple's reported return with co-host Sheinelle Jones.

For Jenna, the situation offered a lesson about making major decisions — and what happens when you try to reverse them later.

"It’s a lesson for everybody. When you leave something and say you’re never going back… [don’t] light a match," she explained.

Harry and Meghan stepped away from their royal duties in 2020 before relocating to California. Their decision was followed by years of public tension with members of the royal family.

The Duke of Sussex later spoke openly about his experiences within the monarchy, including during a televised interview with Meghan and in his memoir, Spare.

Jenna appeared to question whether the couple's relationship with the royal institution could easily be repaired after everything that had happened.

"They sort of threw whatever at the institutions that exist in the U.K.,” she said. “It’s hard to say things like that and then be like, ‘Well…'"

Harry and Meghan have reportedly taken steps toward rebuilding family ties. Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, recently visited King Charles and Queen Camilla during a trip to the U.K.

The youngsters had not seen their royal relatives in person since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in 2022.

For Jenna, the amount of time between those visits made the reunion especially significant.

"Think about little kids’ lives, how much changes in four years. It’s like, [they’re] totally different humans," the mom-of-three said.

The unexpected nature of Harry and Meghan's plans also caught Jenna off guard.

When she first saw the news about their return, she admitted her immediate reaction was disbelief.

"Is this a prank?" she asked when she first saw the news notification on her phone.
