Jenny McCarthy has weighed in on whether she still recognizes her ex Jim Carrey.
The famed actress, 53, responded to rumors Carrey has been "replaced" following his recent unrecognizable appearance at the 2026 César Awards.
Speaking to reporters at the iHeartRadio Music Awards last month, McCarthy dished her thoughts on the speculation surrounding her former lover — whom she dated from 2005 to 2010.

Jenny McCarthy addressed speculation surrounding her ex Jim Carrey during a recent awards show appearance.
"It was definitely Jim Carrey," McCarthy told People of the How the Grinch Stole Christmas actor, who made headlines after accepting an honorary prize at the Cesar Awards on February 26 at the L'Olympia in Paris.
The Masked Singer panelist continued, "He looked very happy at that award show. And I was happy for him. That’s the first thing I noticed. I said, 'Oh wow, Jim looks really happy.'"
During her interview, McCarthy was joined by her husband, Donnie Wahlberg, who added, "You know, that’s the part that, sadly, people miss. We’re so obsessed with how he looks that we didn’t consider how happy he looked."

Jim Carrey sparked speculation after appearing nearly unrecognizable at the 2026 Cesar Awards.
McCarthy's comments about her ex come more than one month after fans sparked an online debate about whether Carrey had been "replaced" by a body double or clone, with drag artist Alexis Stone even claiming he had impersonated the comedian by wearing a prosthetic mask and allegedly attending the ceremony in disguise.
Stone's claims even fooled A-list stars like Megan Fox, who commented on the makeup guru's post, "I can’t handle any more stress right now i need to know if this is real."

Jim Carrey spent 'months' working on his speech for 2026 César Awards.
The César Awards' general delegate Gregory Caulier ultimately clapped back at Stone's claims, revealing, "Jim Carrey's visit has been planned since this summer."
"From the outset, he was extremely touched by the Academy’s invitation," Caulier continued in a statement to Variety at the time. Eight months of ongoing, constructive discussions. He worked on his speech in French for months, asking me about the exact pronunciation of certain words."

Jim Carrey attended the 2026 Cèsar awards with his girlfriend and several other family members.
"He came with his partner, his daughter, his grandson and 12 close friends and family members. His longtime publicist accompanied him. His old friend Michel Gondry, who has made a film and two series with him, was there, and they were delighted to see each other again," the message went on.
"For me, it’s a non-issue," Caulier added of speculation surrounding Carrey's looks. "I just remember his generosity, his kindness, his benevolence, his elegance."
