Soccer Player Jérôme Boateng's Ex-Girlfriend Kasia Lenhardt Found Dead Just Days After Split
Soccer star Jérôme Boateng's ex-girlfriend Kasia Lenhardt was found dead at home on Tuesday, February 9, according to a translation of Blid, just days after the couple split. The model was 25.
"Yesterday at around 8.30 p.m., there was a police operation in Charlottenburg on suspicion of suicide," Berlin police the outlet. "A lifeless person was found in the home. There are no indications of third-party negligence."
Lenhardt's cause of death has not been confirmed, but Berlin police are reportedly not treating the former Germany’s Next Top Model constant’s death as suspicious.
Pal and fellow model Sara Kulka confirmed the sad news on Instagram.
"Rest in peace," read the post's English translation. "You wonderful person, I miss you and would have loved to say goodbye. I hope you find your peace now and I hope the truth comes out now, I know how much you wished it would. I will never forget you, I don't know anyone who could laugh like you. I send a lot of strength to the family."
"We will go our separate ways from now on," Boateng reportedly wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, February 2, in a since-deleted post captured by The Mirror. "That is regrettable, but for my family and for me it is the only right one. I had to take this step and draw a line. I apologize to everyone I've hurt especially with my ex-girlfriend Rebecca and our children. I am disappointed in myself too. A man has to take responsibility and act in the interests of his family and I'm doing it now. I wish Kasia all the best."

The pair are said to have started dating more than a year ago, and Lenhardt had "Jérôme" tattooed on her torso but said they allegedly split due to his "lies and constant infidelity." She reportedly posted and deleted a picture with her ex on Instagram and wrote, "The devil does his best."
Lenhardt reportedly crashed the 32-year-old’s car last month which seemed to lead to a public spat.
"Now is where you draw the line. Enough," Lenhardt wrote on her last Instagram post which was a black-and-white photo of herself.
Lenhardt is survived by a son from a previous relationship.
Boateng is believed to be returning home to Germany and will miss Bayern Munich's final against the Mexico's Tigers UANL, according to ESPN.
"This has stunned us," coach Hansi Flick said during a press conference. "Jérôme came to me and asked me to return home. After a negative [COVID-19] test he will return home and not be available until further notice."
