Besties! Jessica Simpson is shedding some light on her daughter Maxwell's relationship with North West, the first-born of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
According to the fashion designer, her and Kim's eldest daughters were fast friends, with Jessica telling Us Weekly, "One of Maxwell's best friends is North," during an interview on Thursday, April 14.
Jessica, 41, also took the opportunity to hype up Kim's 8-year-old, describing North as "amazing."
"She is a great kid," the Dukes of Hazzard actress continued. "She will be a part of a change in this world."
Jessica's husband, Eric Johnson, even coached North and Maxwell's basketball team "just recently," she added.

Jessica and her husband, along with their two other children, Ace, 8 and Birdie, 3, live in the same neighborhood as Kim and her famous brood, which the blonde beauty called a "fun" experience.
"That [proximity] makes it easy," Jessica explained, adding that Kim and her kids — who also include Saint, 6, Chicago, 4 and Psalm, 2 — haven't changed at all, despite growing up on a reality TV show.

"I'm like, 'I don't know how y'all could do this all the time,'" the "Irresistible" singer added to the publication. "I could only last three season [on Newlyweds], but they're so open and they've always remained the same... That's really hard to, and they're powerhouses."
Jessica appeared on Newlyweds from 2003 to 2005 alongside former husband Nick Lachey, which she explained was a grueling experience as one of the first big reality shows at the time.
"It was one of the first, so it was [cameras] following me all day long from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep unless I kicked them out, but I always felt bad," the Employee of the Month star recalled. "I don't think that reality shows are set up like that nowadays. I think they have shooting days and that type of thing."
Meanwhile, the SKIMS founder and the rest of her famous sisters are still dominating the reality TV world, as they just launched their brand new Hulu series, The Kardashians, after deciding to call it quits on their longtime E! show, Keeping up with the Kardashians.
