John Mulaney Opens Up About His New Baby & His 'Complicated' Year In Candid 'Saturday Night Live' Monologue
John Mulaney got candid in his Saturday Night Live monologue, from hinting at his journey with sobriety to revealing the moment he knew his newborn shared with girlfriend Olivia Munn was truly his son.
"We were in the delivery room. My girlfriend had just given birth to him and he’s crying a little, so they bring him over to this warmer on the other side of the delivery room. [He’s] under this big bright light, and light is just shining in his eyes," Mulaney explained on this Saturday night's episode of SNL.
"He just looks up at the light and [he squints]. He was annoyed, but he didn’t say anything. I was like, ‘That’s my son.’" He joked to the audience. "A polite man in an uncomfortable situation, but he’s not going to make a fuss. He’s a very good boy."

The comedian went on to say that he's gone through a lot of changes since he last took the stage, and that despite it all, "Life is a lot better and happier now."
"I have a 12-week-old son. I’m very excited, he is a pretty cool guy for someone who can’t vote," he quipped. "His legs are like little calzones, and I want to eat him."
