Joseph and Wife Kendra Duggar's Quick Cash Grab Exposed: Couple Discusses Liquidating Possessions in Jail Calls Amid Child Endangerment Charges

Joseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra Duggar, appear to be seeking quick cash amid their arrests for endangering the welfare of their children, debating selling off some of their assets in jail phone calls.

In audio obtained by a news outlet, taken from calls between March 22 and March 26, the couple discussed their rental properties and the hefty payment the mom-of-four should be receiving soon.

"We'll be getting the income from both of those, and that would be a good chunk for you," Joseph informed his wife, admitting things would "still be tight."

The couple each currently faces four misdemeanor counts of false imprisonment and four misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Kendra was arrested and released on March 20, while Joseph remained behind bars in Arkansas on separate child molestation charges. He was later extradited to Florida and released from police custody on March 31 after entering a "not guilty plea."

Joseph said he believed their household "would make it" with the incoming funds, but suggested liquidating assets if necessary.

"You're getting a consistent stream that's really important for you. You could even sell part of it, you know you just sell the house, or something, you know, the bigger one," he continued.

Joseph also told her that he was "fine" with selling a tool trailer on their property.

"I was thinking about it a little longer, we could sell some of those things, the pressure washer, those kind of things ... If we need to sell it, to get you some more money, that would be fine," he instructed.

In another prison call, Kendra relayed how the 19 Kids and Counting star's family has reacted following the shocking allegations.

“Just know that everybody loves you, even if they’re disappointed,” Kendra said in the call, per TMZ.

Joseph didn't push back, simply replying, "I understand the disappointment."

Joseph’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, spoke out about the situation on March 30, calling it "heartbreaking."

"Right now, they are focused on loving their family and helping [his wife] Kendra and her children during this difficult time," a spokesperson for the family shared. "They are praying for the victim. They ask for privacy and appreciate the kind words and prayers offered by so many.”
