Kathie Lee Gifford Ready To Make Things Official With Randy Cronk: She 'Never Expected She Would Find Someone Again' Following Loss Of Frank Gifford, Says Source
She's ready for him to put a ring on it!
After dating for nearly two years, Kathie Lee Gifford is itching to make it official with her beau, Randy Cronk — ASAP!
OK! previously reported in June that the award winning artist had been focused on her work prior to dating her man, but that the romance took her pleasantly by surprise. "She told people she didn't want to [date]," a source spilled. "That she wanted to just focus on gospel singing and producing."
"She started seeing this guy and was obviously swept off her feet — and it just seemed so scandalous, given that he's younger and they've been spending lots of downtime at her home," the source continued.
Gifford also gushed about the relationship she referred to as "healthy" and "challenging" on TODAY. "He’s the smartest person I’ve ever met, but he’s funny," she said at the time. "And we have a great time together, and so at this point in my life that’s exactly what I need and exactly what I want, you know?"
Gifford, 68, who hooked up with the insurance salesman, 58, after retiring from the Today Show and relocating to Nashville in 2019, "is madly in love with Randy and eager to take things to the next level," spills a pal. "But she’s an old-fashioned gal at heart and would never consider living together unless they were married."
After her husband of nearly 30 years, NFL pro turned sportscaster Frank Gifford, died in 2015, "Kathie Lee never expected she would find someone again," shares the friend. "But then Randy walked into her life, and the relationship turned serious fast."
While Kathie Lee feels grateful she’s been given a second chance at love, "she’s not willing to compromise her beliefs about marriage," adds the pal. "She’s made it quite clear to Randy that he’s got to put a ring on it — sooner rather than later."
