Kathryn Dennis is debuting a new look ahead of the new year!
The Southern Charm star, 30, took to Instagram on Monday, December 21, to show off her brand new wig that she obtained after experiencing hair loss from stress and multiple bleaching sessions over the years.
"Meet my very first wig, her name is Kathryn," Dennis — who shares children Kensington Calhoun, 4, and son St. Julien Rembert, 3, with ex-boyfriend Thomas Ravenel — began the post.
"So here’s the deal — if you’ve been keeping up with me you know that I’ve had to deal with extreme stress over the years," the reality star explained. "Blondes have more fun (sometimes) but way more damage smh I needed my confidence back and wigs have done that for me."
"Finally dabbled my toes in the wig world and I’m obsessed. Y’all know me 😉," Dennis — who recently split with boyfriend Chleb Ravenell — concluded the post.
The unwanted hair loss may be brought on by her nasty custody battle with her former partner over the custody of their two children after a judge ruled to give Ravenel, 59, temporary full custody. Dennis originally lost custody of her children due to her struggle with substance abuse, but after a stay in rehab, she was eventually granted 50/50 custody with her former costar.

Back in 2018, the southern born beauty tried filing for sole custody after Ravenel was arrested for assault and battery. Unfortunately for Dennis, the court didn’t budge on the previously established split custody agreement.
Besides the fight for her kids, her recent break up with her boyfriend of nearly a year most likely did not calm her stress either.
"She broke up with him and they are no longer living together," a source dished to to Us Weekly of Dennis and Chleb. "There is no bad ill-will between them."
