Katy Perry has found the love she always wanted.
The "Dark Horse" singer opened up about Justin Trudeau after her split from Orlando Bloom.
"I always wanted this epic legendary love, and I was talking to my therapist about it: everything in my life is epic, but this is kind of the missing puzzle piece — then it showed up," she said.
Perry, 41, discussed her relationship with the former Canadian prime minister in a new interview with People published on Wednesday, September 2, recalling how they met during her Lifetimes Tour.
Katy Perry Found Support During a Difficult Time

Katy Perry opened up about her relationship with Justin Trudeau after her split from Orlando Bloom.
The "Firework" singer was performing in Australia when news of her split from Bloom became public in June 2025.
The former couple shares a daughter, Daisy Dove, 6.
"It was probably the hardest time. My friends were all hanging out back home. I was crying and just feeling far away," Perry said.
"But then my angels went to work. They really showed up," she continued.

Katy Perry reflected on finding a deeper sense of love and support with Justin Trudeau.
The following month, Perry and Trudeau were spotted together on a dinner date in Montreal.
He even attended her concert two days later.
For Perry, the relationship also came after years of reflection on her past.
"I wouldn’t have stayed in something for nine years if there wasn’t really important things to learn. Each relationship is a teacher, right?" she said of her relationship with the Pirates of the Caribbean actor.
"I had to let it go so I could move forward," she added.

Justin Trudeau Became Katy Perry's Anchor

Justin Trudeau became a supportive presence during Katy Perry’s Lifetimes Tour.
The "Teenage Dream" singer also shared how Trudeau fits into her life.
"He knows the words, he’s supportive, and he’s in awe; it’s super healing," Perry told the outlet.
She spoke about him again during a Q&A at the Tribeca Film Festival in June, where she reflected on her November 2025 performances in Paris.
"Actually, that show was after I met the love of my life, and so I felt very anchored by that," Perry said of the performances, which were filmed for The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris.
"I’m a little bit like a rainbow kite — I fly super high. Sometimes I need to be anchored, so to have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole now," she said.

Katy Perry recalled getting butterflies while performing in front of Justin Trudeau.
Perry also recalled feeling nervous when Trudeau watched her perform in Montreal during an August VIP screening of The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris, attended by Us Weekly.
"I always create a super special fan experience. But I don’t typically get nervous. Maybe I get some butterflies on the first show because it’s all the things coming together, and because of social media, you want to kind of get it right," she said.
"But in Montreal, you know, this is the tour. This is the Lifetimes Tour. When the documentary comes, y’all might see me in a different way because … in Montreal, I was like, ‘I can’t look at him.’ A lot of energy," Perry added.
