Despite her efforts, the UsWeekly source pointed out: "It’s hard for Kelly to find time for romance with her schedule, but her friends are still into setting her up."
Following her tumultuous split from the former talent manager, 45, an insider spilled that Clarkson felt "used" in her marriage to Blackstock — something she made clear she does not want to feel in a relationship ever again.
“She could no longer trust Brandon, and she felt that Brandon was just using her for her money and lifestyle,” dished a source. “She had tremendous resentment toward him."
The "Stronger" singer filed for divorce from Blackstock — with whom she shares children River Rose, 7, and Remington, 5 — in June of 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage, with her citing "irreconcilable differences."
After going back and forth through the courts about money and property (specifically the sprawling Montana farmstead home they once shared), Clarkson agreed in the end to give her former partner a 5.12 percent share of their Montana ranch, equaling $908,800 of its total $17,750,000 value.
Per the final divorce agreement, Blackstock will also reportedly receive $115,000 each month in spousal support from The Voice judge until January 2024, plus additional child support.
