Kim Basinger stepped out in Los Angeles for a rare public outing in a casual look.

The 72-year-old Oscar winner appeared makeup-free, shielding her eyes with dark sunglasses as she walked outside carrying a striped handbag.

In photos obtained by OK!, Basinger wore a black zip-up jacket with loose-fitting blue pants and black shoes.

The actress kept her blonde hair pulled back and appeared to go without a full face of makeup.

Basinger accessorized with sunglasses and carried a striped tote over one shoulder as she made her way through Los Angeles.

Best known for her roles in iconic films including L.A. Confidential and The Natural, Basinger has long been considered one of Hollywood's timeless beauties.

In 2025, an insider claimed Basinger was "incredibly disciplined" when it comes to her health and appearance.

The insider also claimed Basinger had been particularly serious about protecting her skin from the sun.

"She's been religious about sun protection for as long as anyone can remember; that's why she never goes outside without a huge hat on," the source alleged.

"And she's always slathered in SPF," the insider continued. "She says avoiding the sun all these years is the biggest reason her skin still looks so good."
