Kim Kardashian is officially ready to become a single woman.
The KUWTK alum reportedly filed legal documents on Friday, December 10, to become officially single after first filing for divorce from Kanye West — who recently changed his legal name to Ye — in February, TMZ reported. If the judge signs off on Kardashian's request, the ruling would separate issues of child custody and property from marital status.
It seems Kardashian is ready to drops all attachments to the father of her children, given that the mother-of-four also reportedly asked that her maiden name be restored.
The KKW beauty founder's request essentially would allow the former flames to live their own lives while dealing with the nitty gritty legal proceedings at another time.
It's unclear what prompted the reality star to file the documents, but it happened to have occurred just one day after West publicly pleaded for the two to reconcile. While performing "Runaway" at his Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert in Los Angeles, Calif., on Thursday, December 9, the Donda crooner changed the lyrics and sang: "I need you to run right back to me. More specifically, Kimberly."
He's also expressed his "Holy Trinity" list of reasons why he wanted his estranged wife back on his arm, with one reason being: “He cares about his image. He thinks [Kim] looks good next to him." On a more serious note, an insider maintained Ye wanted to reunite with Kardashian for the sake of their children: North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.

And while West knows Kardashian may be the only one capable of putting up with him "when he is going through his dark days," per an insider, it looks like Kardashian no longer wants to handle that responsibility. In fact, she's already moved on with Saturday Night Live's Pete Davidson.
The new flames first linked up in October when Kardashian hosted SNL. They have since been spotted out and about multiple times together, with an insider spilling last month that the two are official.
Prior to news of Kardashian, 41, requesting to be a single mama, she and West, 44, appeared to be on good terms. Not only did the brunette babe show her support for West by not only attending, but also participating in one of his three Donda listening parties, but she also praised him while accepting the Fashion Icon Award at the 2021 People's Choice Awards earlier this week.
The coparents — who wed in 2014 — were also spotted together at their late pal Virgil Abloh's final Louis Vuitton show last month. Kardashian had previously been married to Damon Thomas from 2000-2004 and Kris Humphries for 72 days.
