Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are looking forward to blending their families.
The Blink-182 drummer popped the question to the reality star in October 2021. While the lovebirds have been keeping mum about their wedding plans, insiders spilled their families will be heavily involved.
An insider told Life & Style that including their children will be, "the most important element" in "the ceremony and the reception," noting: "The day will be about their families blending together."
The 42-year-old shares children Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7, with ex Scott Disick, while Barker shares children Landon, 18, and Alabama, 16, with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.
According to the source, the couple is eager to tie the knot as soon as possible: "Kourtney would rather change her plans and modify her expectations than wait any longer, because she wants to be his wife. They are planning their future and want it to start now!"
However, Kris Jenner is said to be preaching patience. The source explained the momager and rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family are reminding her that this will be her, "first and only wedding and it should be as special and over the top as she deserves it to be. They don’t want her to cut corners or rush it!"

The insider added that Kardashian and Barker were initially interested in having a destination wedding, but it doesn't seem like an option anymore because of travel restrictions due to the pandemic. The couple wants to make sure their families can attend their big day, it was reported.
Now they are considering getting hitched in Montecito, Calif., which is where the musician popped the question. "Montecito is a special place for them and their relationship. It is 'their' place," the source reportedly added.
The 46-year-old is also said to be involved in the wedding planning. "He is so creative and visionary and is a total romantic," the source explained, per the outlet.
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty "is imagining exchanging vows on the beach surrounded by red roses and candles, much like their engagement," the source revealed. The couple is reportedly working with event planner Mindy Weiss and florist Jeff Leatham.
It's not clear when Kardashian and Barker will tie the knot.
As previously reported by OK!, Kardashian's famous sisters are helping her map out her wedding. "She knows they all have impeccable taste and she completely trusts that they know her well enough to know what she’s looking for," an insider spilled.
