Dustin Diamond, known for his role in the classic series Saved by the Bell, reportedly received a voicemail from his former costar Lark Voorhies shortly before his death at 44. This revelation came from Dan Block, a close friend who was with Diamond during his final days.

Lark Voorhies reportedly left a voicemail for Dustin Diamond shortly before his death in 2021.
In an episode of Hollywood Demons airing on Investigation Discovery, Block explained that Voorhies left a heartfelt voicemail that Diamond listened to before he died.
“Lark Voorhies was a really good person and she left a voicemail for him and we played it for him before he died. He enjoyed it,” Block noted.
Block also mentioned that Voorhies was the only costar who genuinely reached out to Diamond during his illness.
“I know they had a connection,” he added.
Voorhies later reflected on her friendship with Diamond, stating, “That was my very good friend. I miss him.”

Dan Block, a close friend of Dustin Diamond, said Diamond listened to the voicemail before he died.
Saved by the Bell, which aired from 1989 to 1993, followed a group of teenagers as they navigated high school life. The show included actors like Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen and Mario Lopez. The series launched many cast members into stardom, but Diamond faced challenges after its conclusion.
After the show ended, Diamond transitioned to Saved by the Bell: The New Class and pursued various entertainment avenues, including stand-up comedy and reality television. However, his relationship with former costars became strained after the publication of his tell-all book, Behind the Bell, in 2009. Some cast members claimed the book contained inaccuracies, and Diamond later stated that a ghostwriter had compiled it.
Diamond's legal troubles also surfaced when he was arrested in December 2014 for stabbing a man during a bar fight. He received a four-month jail sentence for carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct. He faced further legal issues in May 2016 when he violated his parole but was released two days later.
