Leslie Mann Was 'Nervous' to Meet Costar Adam Demos After Watching Him in Steamy 'S--/Life' Scenes

Leslie Mann admitted she felt a little flustered before meeting Adam Demos for the first time after seeing him in some of his hot S--/Life scenes.

The actors are now costarring in the upcoming comedy Spa Weekend, which hits theaters on August 21. The movie follows three friends who plan a luxurious spa getaway that quickly goes off the rails when their unpredictable friend crashes the trip.

In the film, Mann's character finds herself drawn to a handsome yoga instructor played by Demos — but their first meeting behind the scenes was a whole different story.

“When I was told I was going to meet Adam, I was like, ‘Oh, oh, oh, okay, that’s good,’” Mann recalled during a cast interview on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live. “And then I was like, you know, kind of nervous to meet him because I had this, you know, private time with him. And I remember he walked in, he had his sunglasses on his head and I was trying to be cool and I was not cool. I was really sweating and I remember looking at him in the eye and trying to, you know, just be cool and my eyes… like, they just shifted.”

Demos, who had apparently never heard this story before, said he completely missed Mann's reaction because he was dealing with his own nerves.

“But I’m also coming into your movie, in your world,” he explained to Mann. “So I’m like, ‘I hope I can show up,’ and so we’re both thinking two things.”

Mann, who’s been married to director Judd Apatow for almost three decades, was surprised to learn that Demos wasn't nearly as confident as he appeared.

“You seemed so much more calm and cool and collected than me,” she told him. “Anyway, but that happened. Yeah, I’m glad I got that off my chest.”

Demos' personal life has also made headlines since his split from S--/Life costar Sarah Shahi, whom he dated for five years.

Shahi confirmed their breakup during a February episode of Kristin Cavallari's “Let's Be Honest” podcast, describing the end of their relationship as emotional but peaceful.

“We have since broken up. We broke up last year, so talking about this definitely feels bittersweet,” she said. “But I think he’s an incredible human.”

She added: “Our ending also, there was no, like, table flipping or any anger. It was just two people whose future stopped rhyming. It was as simple as that.”

Shahi also looked back on the first time she met Demos on the set of the Netflix show.

The actress said their introduction took place in the hair-and-makeup trailer, where she was dressed casually and wasn't expecting to make quite the impression.

Shahi recalled that she was wearing “this janky-a-- Christmas sweater” with “one blinking light” on it when she encountered Demos.

“I walk into the trailer, and I literally almost bump into him — he's a very tall person,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘You’re a tall drink of water.’ And he thought I was the PA because of how I was dressed.”

When Cavallari joked, “He’s like, ‘I’ll take a coffee, please,' " Shahi revealed that was “exactly” what happened.

“He was about to give me his coffee order, and then I introduced myself,” she continued. “I was like, ‘I'm Sarah, I'm playing Billie.’ And then he stopped, and he was like, ‘Oh.’ And I'm like, ‘We’re gonna get to know each other really well, aren't we?’ Little did I know what that meant.”
