'Love Is Blind' Star Giannina Gibelli Says She Is 'Single' & At 'Peace' Following Damian Powers Split
Following Love Is Blind: After the Altar, Giannina Gibelli is setting the record straight about where she and Damian Powers stand now.
The 27-year-old told Entertainment Tonight that she is "officially single."
Gibelli and Powers' love story began in 2018 on the Netflix dating series — but fans were shocked when Powers left her at the altar in the finale. The former flames managed to work things out and continue to date after the show. The revelation of the reality star's relationship status comes days after the three-episode After the Altar reunion special aired on Netflix, which Gibellli says was filmed last fall.
"Me and Damian haven't been dating for a couple of months now. I've moved on," the blonde beauty told the outlet. "I feel really, really good. I'm definitely at a really good place in my life."
"For the first time in like three years I feel like I don't have to keep some sort of my life private anymore," she added. "We were just under wraps about everything. I was still trying to figure out, how does my life look without him in it? It's been a long time but I feel really good. I've processed it all. I'm such at peace."
Despite all the drama, Gibelli does not regret her time with Powers: "You definitely learn from all different kinds of love. I definitely learned from that."
When it came to what went wrong, Gibelli explained the pair were very different. "There's nothing wrong with that, opposites really attract, but with us, it's just I guess the way that we communicated, we didn't really understand what the other was trying to say," the TV personality said. "It was constantly like that."

"We had some really great moments in our relationship," Gibelli admitted. "Like some of my best memories, ever ... but at the end of the day, we just weren't as compatible as we should have been after dating for two years."
One of the most jaw-dropping moments of their relationship saga was when Powers was spotted in Los Angeles with Too Hot to Handle's Francesca Farago in August 2020.
Powers told ET at the time that he had been in Los Angeles with his attorney Alex Ion, who was also Farago's attorney. "Alex arranged for both Francesca and I to meet with him for dinner at the Eveleigh in West Hollywood along with some of our other friends, including Mitchell Crawford and Raiane Macedo," he said, noting that he and Farago were just friends.
Days later, Gibelli shared a photo online of Powers kissing her on the cheek.
Gibelli told ET that she started laughing when she first saw the pictures of her now-ex with the actress. "I was just like, 'Oh my god, this is so funny," she recounted. "How do people really think that there's anything going on between them?'"
However, on the reunion, things got tense when Powers brought Farago to the party. Gibelli admitted to the outlet that she was caught off guard by the move and that her "blood boils just thinking about that."
Gibelli said that she and Powers tried to communicate after the special but in the end, they went their separate ways.
