Could This Place *Be* Any Sweeter? Matthew Perry Unloads Stunning Century City Penthouse Spanning An Entire Floor For $21.6 Million — Tour The Swanky Spot
It's safe to say Matthew Perry's former Century City digs is worlds away from the two-bedroom Greenwich Village apartment his beloved character Chandler Bing called home on Friends.
The 51-year-old recently unloaded a stunning penthouse that spans the entire 40th floor of the celeb-loved Century Towers. The Los Angeles Times reports that the actor paid $20 million for the luxe property in 2017, only to put it on the market two years later with an asking price of $35 million. Buyers balked at the hefty price — but he eventually found one to shell out $21.6 million.
According to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com, the condo sale is the most expensive one to go down in Los Angeles since at least 2015.
Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 2009, the lavish building has become a safe haven for celebrities, including Perry's neighbor Candy Spelling (who reportedly spent a whopping $35 million on floors 41 and 42!), and previous tenants Paula Abdul, Rihanna and Elizabeth Berkley.
Perhaps what attracts an A-list clientele is the privacy the swanky property ensures: The building includes four acres of private gardens, a 24/7 valet, doorman and concierge.
Aside from reuniting with his former Friends, Perry has been keeping busy in the real estate game as of late. In September 2020, he also sold his 5,500-square-foot Malibu bachelor pad for a cool $13.1 million.

The 9,318 square ft. property boasts incredible floor-to-ceiling views spanning the City of Angels.
The pad includes a massive living room with not one, but two fireplaces.
