Miranda Kerr Loves Katy Perry 'More' Than Orlando Bloom, Says The Singer 'Helps Me Deal With' Ex-Husband
Unlikely BFFs Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr cannot stop gushing about each other, with the model admitting that she loves the singer more than her ex-husband Orlando Bloom.
The 38-year-old discussed their friendship on the "Moments with Candace Parker" podcast on Tuesday, August 17. "We go on holidays together. We celebrate all the important milestones together," she spilled.
"I love her. I mean, it'd be safe to say that I love her more than Flynn's dad," she joked. Kerr and Bloom — who tied the knot in 2010 and split in 2013 — share 10-year-old son Flynn.
"He's, like, to me right now, a brother. And most of the time, an annoying brother," the KORA Cosmetics founder said of Bloom, before noting the "Dark Horse" singer even helps Kerr "deal with him."
"I'm so grateful that she's there because it takes the pressure off me," Kerr gushed.
The Pirates of the Caribbean alum and the 36-year-old were first linked in 2016. Bloom popped the question in 2019 and they welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, one year later. "I'm so happy for you guys. Can't wait to meet her," Kerr said at the time.
The "Firework" singer made a good first impression on Kerr. "When Orlando started dating Katy, I remember he invited me over one time and she was there, and we just immediately got along," she recalled on the podcast.

"I saw how she was with Flynn. She was very playful with Flynn. She was not trying to be his mum. She was just being friendly and fun, and that's all you can ask for," she said of her ex-husband's new flame. "We hung out by the pool at his house in Malibu and then there was like a little party up the road, and we all went to it together and it was like, 'Oh, this is great!'"
Kerr and Evan Spiegel got hitched in 2017. The couple has since welcomed 3-year-old Hart, and 2-year-old Myles together.
Last month, Perry joined Kerr for a yoga session and joked that it was her first time doing yoga since before she was pregnant. Prior to that, the American Idol judge was invited to join Kerr to promote the launch of her new turmeric moisturizer in April.
"One of the great things about being close to Miranda is I get to try out all her products, especially when her son comes home with them in his backpack," Perry joked on Instagram Live at the time. Perry also said that she appreciated that Flynn always came back from his mom's house with "this amazing nugget of knowledge on either skincare or food."
