Unlikely friends! Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr gushed about their "close" friendship on Instagram Live this week as they talked about Kerr's skincare line.
The 37-year-old invited the "Dark Horse" singer to join her to promote the launch of her KORA Organics skincare line’s new turmeric moisturizer on Tuesday, April 13.
"In our modern family, she’s probably the most health-conscious of everyone," Perry said of Kerr, who was married to Perry's baby daddy, Orlando Bloom, from 2010-2013. Bloom shares son Flynn, 10, with Kerr; Perry and Bloom share 7-month-old daughter Daisy.
"One of the great things about being close to Miranda is I get to try out all her products, especially when her son comes home with them in his backpack," Perry joked.
Not only does Perry get skincare products from Flynn, but she joked that he always comes back with "this amazing nugget of knowledge on either skincare or food."
"The kids are my number one love," Kerr said later. She also shares sons Hart, 3, and Myles, 18 months, with husband Evan Spiegel. "It’s just the best thing in the world, being a mom."
"It’s the best job. It’s the most fulfilling," Perry added. "There was no feeling like the feeling when I had my daughter. That was like all the love I was ever searching for.

"The love from your children is constant and unconditional and isn't based on what you have, what you don't have, what career, what product and that's definitely made me feel so full to know that there's this unwavering and unconditional love," Perry continued. "I'm so glad I made the conscious decision to actually try and do that because I didn't want to miss out on that opportunity…It's been the best thing."
"I feel so lucky to be a mom," Kerr agreed.
However, Perry is still very busy as she balances motherhood, music and American Idol — while Bloom seems happy to be a stay-at-home-dad. "Katy's work life is moving at 100 miles per hour, and Orlando has the flexibility in his acting schedule that Katy doesn't have. He's heating bottles, feeding, burping, changing diapers, doing laundry — the whole shebang," an insider previously told OK!.
This isn't the first time the model has given Perry her seal of approval. In November, she told Drew Barrymore that she was glad her ex found someone who makes him happy.
"I'm so grateful that I found my incredible husband and just that we all really respect each other," she explained on a virtual appearance on The Drew Barrymore show. "When it comes to special occasions, when we have to be together, we work it out so we have compromises [about] what is the best for our whole family.
"We really do always think of what is the best thing for Flynn, and I just think that's the most important thing."
