NeNe Leakes Shows Off New Look, Admits She's Having 'Good Days & Bad Days' Following Husband Gregg Leakes' Death
NeNe Leakes shared an update about how she's doing following the death of her husband Gregg Leakes — but fans couldn't help but notice that the reality star looked different.
The 53-year-old posted a selfie to show off her new long blonde locks on Instagram on Thursday, September 16. "Pushing thru💪🏾 Thank you @jasmine.dior @gracefulartistry For pampering me always❤️," she captioned the post.
She limited the comments on the selfie, but fans still questioned the new look.
"who is this in the picture? that’s not nene?" one fan asked.
"Wow. That’s not Nene," another wrote.
"NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Where is Ne Ne?" a third fan echoed.
"Nene this picture scared me. I didn't recognize you. All love ❤," another user commented.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum took to her Instagram Story and said that since she is adjusting to her new life without her husband, she decided to go blonde again.
"I have a whole group of people that's coming to my house every day doing different stuff with me so I'm trying to keep my mind off of... you know the events that recently happened," she said from her car in the clip.

"I'm pushing through with a blonde wig on," she laughed. "I have good days and bad days but yeah, they say it's normal so some days I'm up, some days I'm down."
Leakes said that she opted to go into the salon instead of having her services done at home: "Today I decided to actually drive to the salon and actually sit in the salon with other women and that was good to be around other people."
When it came to looking different, the reality star said that she was on a beauty cam app. A logo for an app could be seen in the top left corner of some of the clips. "Yes, this is my hair," she explained and said her makeup was done by Graceful Artistry.
"I think sometimes that when you add in the light in the daylight light it makes you look real lighter," she said. "I'm still a brown girl, just want y'all to know."
"I'm in my garage now where it's a little bit darker so you probably get a better color," she said in another Story. Leakes explained that she thought the daylight shining on her face while in the car made her look different.
Leakes followed up the videos with three selfies and then a video of herself at The Linnethia Lounge. "I can't wait to get back in the groove of things," she said in the clip on her Instagram Story.
Gregg passed away aged 66 on September 1 following a cancer battle.
