Pete Davidson Briefly Reactivates Instagram As Kanye West Comes Under Fire For 'Disturbing' Music Video Burying The Comedian Alive
All in good fun?
Pete Davidson reportedly returned to Instagram for less than an hour on Wednesday, March 2, as Kanye West released his music video for his song "Eazy," which showed a claymation version of the Saturday Night Live comedian being kidnapped, tied up and buried alive.
It's unclear whether Davidson returned to the social media platform to make a statement following Ye's jarring video, but he seemingly decided he's better off without the account and deactivated it once again.
Screenshots captured by fan accounts, per Page Six, showed Davidson's page remained the same as before, with one video post and a YouTube link to a clip from the 1982 Robert De Niro film, The King of Comedy, where his character says, "It's better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime," in his bio.
As OK! reported, the 28-year-old joined Instagram last month and only followed girlfriend Kim Kardashian and Sebastian Stan at the time before deactivating his account shortly after.
West — who has been trolling both Davidson and his ex-wife on his own Instagram account in recent weeks — took Davidson's previous social media exit as an opportunity to take a dig at him, declaring in an Instagram post on February 24: "Ran Skete off the gram Tell your mother I changed your name for life," referring to the nickname the father of Kardashian's children coined for her new beau.
While West, 44, has repeatedly proved he'll make his feelings towards Davidson known — as he rapped in his song, "Eazy," that he'd "beat Pete Davidson's a**," and rapped: “This afternoon / A hundred goons pullin’ up to ‘SNL’ / When I pull up / It’s dead on arrival,” in Fivio Foreign's new single — it looks like his fans have had enough of the attacks on the Big Time Adolescence star.
After West kidnaps and buries Davidson alive in his "Eazy" music video, roses grow around The King of Staten Island star's head while West is seen standing on top of the garden, as his controversial lyrics targeting the funnyman are heard.

Towards the end of the video, a truck full of roses, similar to the one West appeared to deliver to the KKW Beauty founder on Valentine's Day, pans across the screen. The music video concludes with the words: "EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER / EXCEPT SKETE YOU KNOW WHO / JK HE'S FINE," written in white.
In response to the "Jesus Walks" singer's questionable video released Wednesday, fans took to Twitter to share their reactions, with one unimpressed fan writing: "that Kanye video is actually disturbing, pete needs to sue and file a restraining order."
"i love kanye but this petty s**t is embarrassing and everyone praising him for it clearly don't give a f**k about him. like if something happens to Pete, kanye will truly be f**ked cause he's leaving all the evidence online," another added, as a third platform user dubbed the video "emotional abuse," pointing out things "will end very badly for this family. I felt terrified, can't imagine how Kim feels. He's terrorizing her as punishment and I hope people will stop excusing this as art."
West's music video drop came just one one day after the SKIMS founder, 41, was declared legally single after she first filed for divorce from the Donda performer in February 2021.
Meanwhile, as Kardashian's romance with Davidson heated up following her October 2021 hosting stint on SNL, her ex has made public pleas for the former flames to reconcile and launched scathing social media attacks on the new couple.
And while he recently insisted he was taking "accountability" for his posts and acknowledged: "I know sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim," West has continued to share posts about Kardashian and Davidson in the weeks since.
