Rumors continue to circulate that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have sparked up a romance — but a source tells OK! that the Saturday Night Live star’s intense infatuation with the reality star may cause things to end before they even begin.
“Pete is constantly texting, Googling and talking about Kim,” confides the source. “He is obsessed with her and desperately trying to transform a few fun days into a life together forever."
According to the insider, this behavior mimics Davidson's modus operandi with another famous face: “This feels like Ariana Grande part 2. He gets obsessed with girls and is already talking about marriage.” (The King of Staten Island star, 27, and "7 rings" singer, 28, embarked on a whirlwind romance, and were briefly engaged in 2018.)
As OK! previously reported, Davidson and Kardashian — who shared a smooch during a skit when the mom-of-four hosted SNL — have had the rumor mill in overdrive ever since they were snapped holding hands during a ride at Knott’s Scary Farm in California on October 29.
Though many suspected the two were simply hanging out with mutual friends (Kourtney Kardashian and her fiancé Travis Barker were also in attendance) the KKW Beauty founder and comedian kicked things up a notch with dinner at Davidson’s favorite restaurant Campania in Staten Island just days later.

The next night, the two hung out with a group of pals at Zero Bond in New York City while the reality star was in town for The Wall Street Journal's 2021 Innovator Awards.
Though many would assumed the possible flames have taken things to the next level, the source says that's not the case. “They haven’t even kissed yet,” adds a friend of Kardashian. “They certainly have not spent a night together. After dinner in Staten Island, Kim returned to her hotel in midtown and the next night it was a group date where they was lots of flirting but nothing more."
Davidson may be falling hard behind closed doors, but he's keeping it together in public: During his appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Big Time Adolescence actor dodged answering questions about Kardashian, joking: "It is true. I do have a show on Tubi coming out."
Playing coy was the right move, says the source: “The best advice for Pete is to cool his jets. Kim isn’t divorced from Kanye [West] yet. The last thing she needs in her life right now is another super intense guy."
"At first, all the attention was flattering," adds the source, "but now it’s just a turn-off.”
