Pink Honors Late Dad In Sweet Social Media Message On Veteran's Day: 'Hug A Veteran Today'
Less than 3 months after her father lost his battle to prostate cancer, Pink penned a sweet social media message honoring her late dad on Veteran's Day.
The "Just Give Me A Reason" songstress took to Instagram on Thursday, November 11, posting a snapshot of her father, Jim Moore, from his military days.
The first photo of the set pictured a young Moore — who previously served in Vietnam while in the United States Air Force — with close cropped hair and dressed in his uniform, while the second was a grainy snap of herself, her brother, and her dad.
"Look at my handsome Papa," the "Just Like Fire" artist captioned the series of pics. "Thank you to all the women and men for your sacrifice and your service."
"The second picture is me and my Dad and brother marching in Washington. The third is his beautiful memorial box that holds his ashes," the post continued. "They used to call him twinkle toes for dancing when he was meant to be marching in line."

The 42-year-old songwriter — real name Alecia Beth Moore — ended her sweet message, "Hug a veteran today," then playfully reminded her fans, "Consensually of course ❤️👍🏽✌🏽❤️🥰".
This isn't the first time the Grammy winner has voiced her support for men and women in uniform. Last Memorial Day, the mother-of-two shared a song her father wrote via Twitter, as well as some words of love and respect for the troops, both those still living and those who gave their lives in service.
"Thinking of all the soldiers and veterans and military families today. Sending my love and respect and gratitude for your sacrifice," the "What About Us" singer wrote on May 25, 2020. "This is a song my dad wrote while serving in the Air Force in Vietnam. The first song I learned to harmonize to."
Moore passed away on August 26, 2021, after losing his ongoing fight with prostate cancer.
