Prince William reportedly keeps a 'boundary' between his personal life and his royal duties.

Wakeford told Fox News there's been "some criticism" of William's laidback approach in the past, as some have labeled the future king, 44, as "work-shy or a little bit lazy."

"But I think William is working more like a CEO and being very strategic with his time," the expert claimed. "He studies the monarchy in a way to help make it survive and keeps a boundary around his real life and his relationships so that he doesn’t get burned out, and he can do the best job possible."

Wakeford noted that poll numbers proved William was "extremely popular and he's doing a good job."

As OK! previously reported, insiders hinted last month that trouble was brewing among the royals as Charles, 77, and William's relationship was becoming increasingly tense.

The father-son duo were believed to have grown "close together in recent years" but drifted apart due to some "differences in opinion," according to royal expert Robert Jobson.

"William has to rise above it all if he’s going to be king, and both he and Charles know they have to work together. There’s a lot of decisions that Charles will make that will affect William," he claimed of the monarchy's future.

Despite the tension, Jobson claimed Charles and William "meet regularly and they converse."
