Rebecca Gayheart revealed the values she and Eric Dane instilled in daughters Billie and Georgia.

Rebecca Gayheart is guiding daughters Billie, 16, and Georgia, 14, through Hollywood with the same rules she and late husband Eric Dane taught them growing up.
“I think we’ve tried to instill just character and making good decisions,” Gayheart told E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes.
“Keeping themselves safe, setting boundaries. I think they have a pretty good sense of a safe situation and a dangerous situation,” she added.

Rebecca Gayheart said her daughters know how to recognize safe and dangerous situations.
The Jawbreaker actor said her daughters learned to spot trouble because those conversations began early in their lives.
“We’ve been doing this since they were little. So, they know,” Gayheart said, before adding, “I still keep a very close watch over them.”
Her comments arrive months after Dane, known for Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria, died at age 53 on February 19 following his battle with ALS.
Rebecca Gayheart revealed Billie and Georgia learned about boundaries and safety early on.
Gayheart’s advice now holds added weight as both teenagers consider a future in entertainment, an industry their parents know well.
“I would love to, like, stave it off for a little longer,” she said. “I’m trying, But, you know, one wants to be a model, one wants to be an actress.”

Georgia Has Begun Acting
Rebecca Gayheart opened up about daughter Georgia’s acting debut and Hollywood ambitions.
Georgia has already taken a major first step, making her acting debut opposite her mother in Lifetime’s The Ocean Between Them.
“That was so much fun,” Gayheart recalled.
She continued, “Georgie, you know, she’s just she’s such a great kid. She’s really smart. She has the acting bug and so she’s studying at the Margie Haber studio. She’s worked with Nancy Banks. It’s just fun to watch.”
Gayheart understands that children raised around sets can react to the business in very different ways, but she believes her daughters’ pull toward the spotlight is genuine.
“It can go either way,” the 55-year-old said. “Some kids grow up on sets and go, ‘I never want to do that again. I don’t want to do that.’ And some are just drawn to it.”
For Billie and Georgia, Gayheart sees that interest as part of their family story rather than a passing phase.
“It’s in their blood,” she admitted.
Rebecca Gayheart said returning to work had changed things at home for daughters Billie and Georgia.
The household is also adjusting as Gayheart returns to acting after years focused on raising her daughters.
“They had me at home with them always,” Gayheart said of Billie and Georgia. “So this is hard for them having me away, school starting and I’m not there to be at their beck and call. So, it’s really a season of growth for all of us.”
