Head over heels! Ricki Lake has fallen hard for her new fiancé, Ross Burningham — so much so, claims an OK! insider, that she's ready to tie the knot without considering a prenup.
"Ricki's beyond excited about planning the wedding so it hasn't even crossed her mind," dishes the insider.
Lake and the lawyer have been dating for just over a year. "It started off casual but quickly became something more," says the insider. And now, the Hairspray star, 52, who announced her engagement on Instagram on February 20, gushed that her next chapter with Burningham, 54, "is sure to be a good one."
Lake — who shares sons Milo, 23, and Owen, 19, with ex Rob Sussman — was devastated when her second husband, Christian Evans, took his own life in 2017 after his battle with bipolar disorder.
"A lot of people think it's crazy for Ricki to risk her $16 million fortune, she trusts Ross 100 percent," the insider spills. "She knows in her heart that he's The One."
In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Lake revealed details of their proposal — and it sounded ever-so picture perfect.
"I was naked in the jacuzzi with my man on the first night that we're in my new Malibu home," she recalled. "And so it was romantic and very spontaneous and I couldn't be happier."
Now that the pair moved into the Malibu home together, Lake thinks describes their relationship status as "bliss."
"I feel like I'm walking on air. We're pinching ourselves, we're so happy," she revealed on the show.
In her engagement announcement, Lake beamed alongside Burningham.
"Friends, I'm so so so excited to share some good news! I'm engaged! This is Ross. He is my person. He is wonderful," the former talk show host captioned the Instagram post.
